Giscombe & Thompson Reading This Saturday, November 13th, at 8pm

C. S. Giscombe and Jon Thompson will visit the Desert City this Saturday night at 8 pm at Internationalist Books in Chapel Hill.

This reading is the last of ought-four for the DCPS and stands to be smoking. Cecil Giscombe's poems have been praised by the likes of Adrienne Rich, Henry Louis Gates, Jr., Robert Creeley, Ishmael Reed, and Ron Silliman.

This reading celebrates the long overdue and just in time publication of Jon Thompson's first collection, The Book of the Floating World.

This reading will be followed by another reception/reading/hootinannay at the Blue Door which will feature music critic, barista, English for speakers of the Martian language instructor Brian Howe and painter Rafael Aviles.

This reading will change your mind about the effects of November 3rd.
